On September 27, a regional connectivity workshop will take place through the Nam Giang border gate pair.

On the morning of September 25, the People's Committee of Quang Nam province announced that the International Conference on Regional Connectivity on the East-West Economic Corridor through the Nam Giang - Dac Ta Ooc International Border Gate, Potential and Development Opportunities will take place on the morning of September 27 in Quang Nam province.

The workshop, organized by the People's Committee of Quang Nam province in coordination with the Ministry of Planning and Investment, is expected to have the participation of leaders of the Vietnamese and Lao governments, leaders of localities along the East-West economic corridor, localities in the Central Coast, and domestic and foreign enterprises and economic groups.

At the workshop, information will be provided on the current situation, potential, and opportunities for regional connectivity on the East-West Economic Corridor through the Nam Giang - Dac Ta Ooc International Border Gate; and localities on the East-West Economic Corridor. At the same time, plans for investment in transport infrastructure to create regional connectivity will be discussed and proposed to effectively exploit the potential and strengths of the parties; and to strengthen investment, trade, tourism, and service cooperation on the East-West Economic Corridor road from Ubon RatchatThani province (Northeast Thailand) through 4 provinces in Southern Laos to the provinces of the key economic region of the Central region (Quang Nam, Da Nang, Hue, Quang Ngai) through the Nam Giang - Dac Ta Ooc International Border Gate pair.

Within the framework of the Workshop, there were also activities to promote economic, trade, investment, tourism and service cooperation between Southern Laos and the Central Key Economic Zone, as well as to promote and introduce Quang Nam province.

According to the People's Committee of Quang Nam province, through the workshop, the provinces on the East-West economic corridor through the Nam Giang - Dac Ta Ooc international border gate pair will consider developing specific and appropriate action plans to promptly and effectively exploit potentials and strengths, enhance cooperation in investment, trade, tourism and services to contribute to the socio-economic development of the parties involved in the coming time.
