At that time, Trieu Phong district had 29/45 schools meeting national standards, reaching a rate of 64.4%. The quality of education at all levels was improved, accordingly, the rate of high school graduates and the rate of students admitted to universities and colleges was quite high. In the 2018-2019 school year, 100% of students completed primary school, 99.47% graduated from junior high school, 89.88% graduated from high school, and over 70% of students passed university and college entrance exams.

However, the 20th Trieu Phong District Party Congress, term 2020-2025, pointed out that, in addition to the achieved results, the district's education and training sector still has some shortcomings and limitations such as the quality of education and training in some aspects is not high, especially in key education. Therefore, in the term 2020-2025, the Trieu Phong District Party Committee requires the local education and training sector to continue to firmly maintain universalization of 5-year-old preschool education, universalization of primary and secondary education, and build 100% of schools meeting national standards.

To achieve that goal, the Resolution of the Trieu Phong District Party Congress, term 2020-2025, clearly stated that the district's education and training sector continues to promote the effective implementation of Resolution No. 29 of the 11th Party Central Committee on fundamental and comprehensive innovation of education and training to meet the requirements of industrialization and modernization in the context of a socialist-oriented market economy and international integration.

In particular, focusing on implementing the 2018 general education plan and program well, promoting the building of a learning society, encouraging organizations and individuals to invest in and develop non-public education as well as strongly innovating teaching methods associated with the goal of developing students' qualities and abilities.

In line with the Resolution of the Trieu Phong District Party Congress, the Department of Education and Training of Trieu Phong District continues to synchronously deploy many solutions for implementation. Accordingly, it continues to improve the quality and effectiveness of state management of education and training, while at the same time arranging and rearranging the team of managers, teachers and staff appropriately in conjunction with improving the quality of education.

Every year, the District People's Committee directs relevant agencies, units and the Department of Education and Training to regularly review the scale of schools and classes to recruit teachers at all levels to ensure sufficient quantity and structure, meeting teaching requirements in the spirit of Resolution No. 29 of the 11th Party Central Committee.

During the recruitment process, the selection and selection process is organized publicly and fairly, selecting the team according to the requirements. The district's Department of Education and Training focuses on cultivating ethics, doing a good job of ideological and political work for the team of managers and teachers, and implementing democratic regulations in schools.

In order to improve the quality of teaching and learning, the Department of Education and Training of Trieu Phong district focuses on strongly and synchronously innovating the basic elements of education and training in the direction of attaching importance to developing students' qualities and abilities. In which, strongly innovating teaching and learning methods in a modern direction, promoting the positivity, proactiveness, creativity and application of knowledge and skills of learners.

With that approach, up to now, Trieu Phong district has 40/42 schools meeting national standards, reaching a rate of 95.2%, of which 34 schools meet national standards level 1; 6 schools meet national standards level 2. 100% of students from grades 3 to 5 learn foreign languages ​​according to the new program, over 30% of schools teach foreign languages ​​to students in grades 1 and 2. 100% of communes and towns have firmly maintained the results of universalizing preschool education for 5-year-old children; reaching the standards of universalizing primary education level 3, universalizing lower secondary education level 3, universalizing literacy education level 2. 100% of students of primary school age go to primary school, 99.7% go to lower secondary school. 100% of primary school students study 2 sessions/day. The rate of students graduating from lower secondary school each year entering grade 10 of high school and equivalent is over 98%. The annual high school graduation rate is over 98%.

For many years now, 100% of schools have had smart TVs connected to the internet for teaching, and 100% of teachers have applied information technology in teaching. Most schools have online meeting rooms connected to the main bridge at the Department of Education and Training to hold a number of meetings, conferences, and seminars. The quality of key education has been significantly improved. In the 2023-2024 school year, more than 400 students participated in the district-level excellent student competition, of which 195 students won prizes.

From the beginning of 2025 until now, Trieu Phong district has continued to implement many solutions to build the remaining two schools that have not met national standards, Trieu Long Kindergarten and Trieu Giang Primary and Secondary School, to meet the standards this year. Striving by 2030, Trieu Phong district will achieve a rate of 50% of children being enrolled in kindergartens, 95% of preschool children, reducing the rate of malnourished children to below 3%, over 90% of preschools being multi-storey and solidified, maintaining 100% of children attending primary school, over 99.5% of children attending school at the right age, 100% of primary school students studying 2 sessions/day and 50% of secondary school students studying 2 sessions/day, the rate of secondary school graduates reaching over 99.7%, high school graduates reaching over 99%, the rate of secondary school graduates entering grade 10 reaching over 99%.

In addition, the district has firmly maintained the results of 100% of communes and towns universalizing preschool education for 5-year-old children, universalizing primary education, universalizing lower secondary education and universalizing illiteracy eradication, 100% of preschools and general schools meeting and maintaining national standards, of which over 20% of schools meet national standards at level 2.
