Located between Dong Ha bridge and Hieu river saltwater dam (Dong Ha city, Quang Tri), the cable-stayed bridge across Hieu river is an artistic highlight that highlights the river scene here.
The bridge has been basically completed but has not yet been opened to traffic, as the approach roads at both ends of the bridge have not been completed. Currently, construction units are rushing to complete the two abutments of Hai Ba Trung and Hoang Dieu streets to temporarily open the traffic.
The Hieu River cable-stayed bridge project started construction in April 2020 and is currently in its final stages.
With a total investment of more than 200 billion VND, this bridge brings a completely different look to Dong Ha City, not only for its beauty but also for promoting the local socio-economic development.
Sunset scene by the bridge on the poetic Hieu River
Sunset on the cable-stayed bridge attracts crowds of people to take photos and check-in.
The central bridge, resembling a pink lotus bud, is the highlight of this project.
Inspired by the pink lotus bud, the bridge has a total length of 327m, of which the actual length is 210m. The structural diagram of the span is 100+100m and the main span is 73m high, shaped like a lotus bud reaching up to the sky.
At night, people in Dong Ha City often stand on both banks of the Hieu River to admire the beauty of this bridge when the lights come on.
Currently, the cable-stayed bridge across Hieu River is still not open to traffic because the approach road to the bridge has not been completed.
