On the morning of March 10, the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism and the Department of Foreign Affairs organized a seminar on the beauty of Vietnamese Ao Dai and international integration at the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Cultural House.
This is one of the activities within the framework of the 10th Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival in 2024.
Attending the discussion were Ms. Nguyen Thi Le - Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, Ms. Tran Kim Yen - Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, designers (Nam Tuyen, Duc Vincie), ambassadors of the Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival (artist Phi Dieu, MC Quynh Hoa, beauty queen Ngoc Chau, actress Bang Di), consuls' wives... and many ao dai lovers.
Bringing the image of Ao Dai to all five continents
Over the years, Ao Dai has not only appeared on Tet holidays and important events, but has also been present at many international and diplomatic events...
Many heads of state, leaders, wives, and diplomats from other countries also choose to wear ao dai when visiting Vietnam.
Ms. Milena Padula - wife of the Italian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, President of the Consular Club in Ho Chi Minh City - said that two years ago, when she came to Vietnam, she saw the ao dai on the street and fell in love with it since then.
"I think the way Vietnamese people cherish Ao Dai and cherish tradition is a cultural beauty. I appreciate the efforts of Vietnam and the departments to organize the grand and impressive Ao Dai Festival .
I love wearing Ao Dai on special occasions, those are unforgettable memories," added Ms. Milena Padula.
Ms. Tri Astuti Sofjan - wife of the Indonesian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City - informed: "This is the third year I have experienced wearing Ao Dai. When wearing Ao Dai, women can show more charisma and confidence."
Miss Ngoc Chau said that becoming an ambassador of the Ao Dai Festival is an opportunity to promote and bring the love of Ao Dai to everyone. Ao Dai not only shows the beauty of Vietnam but also contains traditional and cultural values.
"Chau is proud to wear the Vietnamese ao dai. If we love ao dai, let's choose ao dai for our daily lives, bringing ao dai closer to everyone" - Ngoc Chau said.
Mr. Pham Dut Diem - Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs - said that the Ao Dai carries the mission of cultural diplomacy. The Department of Foreign Affairs is committed to continuing to accompany the organizing committee, bringing the image of the Ao Dai to all five continents.

Many activities to experience and understand more about Ao Dai
Within the framework of the seminar "The beauty of Vietnamese Ao Dai and international integration", delegates and visitors experienced sewing Ao Dai buttons, knitting Ao Dai accessories, and embroidering patterns on Ao Dai.
In particular, the audience enjoyed three new ao dai collections by designers Nam Tuyen (Heritage Colors, Lively with Experience) and Duc Vincie (Vietnamese Fragrance).
The delegates walked with the models, performing in spontaneous but very graceful ao dai.
Through this discussion, the organizers hope that the Ao Dai will be a special image in cultural diplomacy, helping international friends better understand the country and people of Vietnam, and at the same time bringing Vietnam closer to the world.
