Vietnamese fried spring rolls are in the top 10 best shrimp dishes in the world by the culinary website Taste Atlas, thanks to their delicious filling and crispy outer shell.
Taste Atlas , the website dubbed "atlas of world cuisine", introduced to readers the 10 most delicious dishes in the world made from shrimp on October 20. The list is based on reviews from nearly 340,000 culinary experts and diners with the criteria of voting for dishes with unique flavors and popularity.
Vietnamese fried spring rolls ranked 8th in the top 10, scoring 4.4 out of 5. International diners expressed their love for the dish, which is "filled with minced pork and shrimp, wrapped in soft rice paper." The rolls are deep-fried in a pan of oil, creating a golden color, a thin, crispy, light outer layer, and a filling of aromatic vegetables, vermicelli, wood ear mushrooms, and shiitake mushrooms, according to Taste Atlas.

The remaining dishes, ranked from 1 to 10, include: Indonesian nasi campur rice, Japanese nigiri sushi, pad Thai, Japanese kaisendon sashimi rice bowl, Japanese tendon, Chinese Yangzhou fried rice, Singaporean char kway teow, Spanish paella and Portuguese arroz de marisco seafood rice.
The famous culinary website has honored Vietnamese dishes many times. Previously, fried spring rolls also appeared in the top 100 best appetizers in the world.
Taste Atlas said the ranking is suggestive, promoting delicious dishes of destinations around the world, arousing the curiosity of diners and the pride of people in traditional dishes.
