8th grade male student jumped into the lake to save drowning 11th grade female student

On April 17, Binh Dinh Provincial Youth Union awarded a certificate of merit to Le Van Phat, a student of class 8A4, Tang Bat Ho Secondary School, Tang Bat Ho town (Hoai An district, Binh Dinh), for bravely saving a drowning person.

At around 8:00 p.m. on April 14, while walking around Bau Dung ecological lake (in Tang Bat Ho town) with a group of friends, Le Van Phat saw someone drowning. In an emergency situation, Phat immediately jumped into the lake to save the person.

Thanks to Phat's brave action, LNAT (11th grade student, in Tang Bat Ho town) was saved. Afterwards, T. was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment and is now in good health.

Ms. Huynh Thi Thanh Nguyet, Deputy Secretary of Binh Dinh Provincial Youth Union, said that in addition to promptly giving certificates of encouragement, the Provincial Youth Union is proposing that the Central Youth Union award the Brave Youth Badge to Le Van Phat.
