Thai Nguyen provincial leaders set a goal to strive to eliminate 100% of temporary and dilapidated houses in the area before April 30, 2025.
According to data from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thai Nguyen province, there are 1,498 temporary and dilapidated houses in the province that are eligible for construction support (from January 1, 2024 to present). Of these, 913 houses are supported for new construction and 585 houses are supported for repair.
To soon complete the above goal, the Steering Committee for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in Thai Nguyen province and local Party committees and authorities have identified the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for people in the whole province as an important political task, with top priority. Immediately after that, the implementation was organized simultaneously in the province, with high determination, creativity, urgency, responsibility and efficiency.
Mr. Duong Van Tien, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thai Nguyen province, informed that by March 6, 2025, the entire Thai Nguyen province had completed the construction and repair of 1,363 houses, reaching 91% of the total number of houses in need. Provincial leaders have set a target to strive to complete the elimination of 100% of temporary and dilapidated houses that meet the conditions in the area before April 30, 2025.
Thai Nguyen province is determined to complete the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses ahead of schedule, as well as 8 months ahead of the Prime Minister's deadline for nationwide implementation. The early completion of the program will help people settle down and find jobs, contributing to ensuring social security and improving the quality of life for people in the province.
