Our Party has accompanied the nation for the past 94 years and brought about colorful springs and a bright future for the country. However, perhaps there is a deeper reason, which is that since its inception, the Party has not hesitated to sacrifice and endure hardships for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland and the happiness of the people.
In the spring of 1930, the Communist Party of Vietnam was born. After years of wandering to find a way to save the country, Nguyen Ai Quoc carefully prepared the conditions for the establishment of a communist party in Vietnam. At the end of 1929, he convened a conference of representatives of communist organizations in Vietnam on the occasion of the Canh Ngo New Year in 1930. At this conference, after listening to Nguyen Ai Quoc's analysis, the delegates agreed to merge the three communist organizations into a single communist party - the Communist Party of Vietnam, creating unity in ideology, politics and action of the Vietnamese revolutionary movement, towards the goal of national independence and socialism.
As soon as it was born, the Party became the leader and organizer of the Vietnamese revolution. Over the past 94 years, with its correct and creative political line, strategy and tactics, it has led the Vietnamese people to overcome countless difficulties, steer the revolutionary boat from one victory to another, create many glorious miracles, and create developments of historical and epochal significance. At the age of 15, the Party led the victory of the August Revolution in 1945, establishing the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, opening a new era of development for the nation - the era of independence, freedom and socialism. The Party led the people to wage the sacred resistance war against French colonialism with the historic victory of Dien Bien Phu "resounding throughout the five continents, shaking the earth", half of the country was liberated and moved towards socialism. Under the leadership of the Party, for more than 20 years, the entire nation has been resilient in "fighting to drive the Americans out and topple the puppet regime." With the great victory in the spring of 1975, our beloved country was reunited, and the whole country moved towards socialism.
Over the past 94 years, our Party's activities have completely changed the country and the Vietnamese people, from a miserable society to a bright society. The Party has integrated itself with the entire nation, the Party has put the interests of the nation and the people above all else. In the long historical journey full of challenges, hardships and sacrifices, our Party has always been the sole organizer and leader of all victories of the Vietnamese revolution.
In peace, construction, great and historical achievements after 38 years of renovation have brought the country miraculous results, as General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong commented: "Our country has never had the foundation, potential, position and international prestige as today".
New spring has come to Vietnam. Apricot blossoms in the South and peach blossoms in the North are blooming brightly, adding brilliant colors to the spring. In the sacred moments of harmony between Heaven - Earth - People, every family of the Vietnamese people lights incense on the ancestral altar, their hearts filled with gratitude and nostalgia for the great President - Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh, the savior of the nation. He left an immortal spiritual and cultural heritage for the country. He is the soul of eternal spring for the Vietnamese land.
In 2023, with many difficulties, challenges and complexities from the world and domestic situation, the Party has firmly led the country to gradually overcome inflationary pressures, fluctuations in interest rates, exchange rates and natural disasters, storms, floods, epidemics, etc., gradually restoring production and life so that every family and every person can enjoy spring and celebrate Tet in peace. Especially at the end of 2023, a year that left many brilliant marks, notably the open foreign policy, multilateralization and diversification of international relations. Vietnam has established a great reputation for national development in the international arena.
In the Spring of the Year of the Dragon, we earnestly send our wishes to the Party and open our hearts to all places... The valuable lesson on Party building still has theoretical and practical value.
In the face of the new situation with unpredictable changes, knowing how to grasp the opportunities and advantages of the country and people to break through and move forward also means successfully solving the development problem for the integration process. Therefore, objective necessity requires our Party to constantly innovate and rectify itself to improve its leadership capacity, fighting strength, political mettle and intellectual level worthy of its role as a political leader, as the vanguard of the working class, the working people and the heroic Vietnamese nation.
Our Party directs the continued implementation of the Resolution of the 4th Central Committee (12th tenure) on "Strengthening Party building and rectification"; the Conclusion of the 4th Central Committee Conference (13th tenure) on continuing to implement the Resolution of the 4th Central Committee (12th tenure); implementing Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW dated May 18, 2021 of the Politburo on continuing to implement Directive No. 05-CT/TW dated May 15, 2016 of the Politburo (12th tenure) "On promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and lifestyle" to strengthen political and ideological education, regular self-criticism and criticism, "self-examination", "self-correction" of comrades and teammates; affirming the very high political determination, great efforts and consistent ideology of our Party to build an increasingly clean and strong Party, consolidating the people's trust in the Party's dedication, devotion, and loyal service to the national interests.
Our Party was born and developed from the spring when the sky and earth were green, the trees were green, and people were excited. Each cadre, party member and every citizen should be a spring flower to offer to the Party, creating a spring that begins the new year filled with beautiful flowers, bringing the best things, raising the aspiration to develop a strong and prosperous country.
