The impact of storm No. 6 caused heavy rain, many trees and electric poles were blown down by the wind on Hai Van Pass. Authorities had to be present to clean up and ban vehicles from passing through the pass.
On October 27, the Hoa Hiep Gate Traffic Police Station, Traffic Police Department of Da Nang City Police, said that it is coordinating with related units to cut trees and clear landslides on Hai Van Pass.
Accordingly, in the morning of the same day, strong winds caused trees to fall and block the road in the area south of Hai Van pass.

Along the pass, many electric poles were also knocked down by the wind. In some places, rocks rolled onto the road.
According to the Hoa Hiep Gate Traffic Police Station, Da Nang City Traffic Police Department, from the morning of October 27, both Hai Van Pass and Tunnel have been closed to traffic to ensure safety.
By around 10am the same day, the Hai Van tunnel had reopened. The pass road was still blocked.

Due to the impact of storm No. 6, the area from Quang Binh to Da Nang had heavy rain, with average rainfall from 50-150mm, and locally heavy rain over 250mm.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 9:00 a.m. on October 27, the center of storm No. 6 was at about 16.6 degrees North latitude; 108.3 degrees East longitude, about 65km northeast of Da Nang. Strongest wind: Level 9 (75-88km/h), gusting to level 11. Forecast: In the next 3 hours, the storm will move in a West-Southwest direction, at a speed of about 10-15km/h.
The Meteorological Center warned that this is the first storm to affect the Central region. Its path and development are still complicated. The time of impact on the sea and land will be long and cause heavy rain in the coming days.
