Through the Local Education subject applied in the new General Education Program, along with the task of making products to promote local culture, students from Tran Phu High School - Hoan Kiem have chosen and manually made a large-sized model book introducing historical relics and scenic spots in Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi city.
“A Round of Hoan Kiem” is a 10-page 3D book model with an introduction, map - table of contents, and an overview of 7 historical sites in Hoan Kiem district. The book stands out with its 3D design, hand-drawn images of monuments as highlights throughout.
In particular, the images of house number 48 Hang Ngang, where Uncle Ho wrote the Declaration of Independence in 1945, in the book were collected and photographed by the students. Notably, they integrated QR codes to help readers easily access video links and podcasts introducing the red addresses, which were researched, edited, recorded and post-produced by the group of students themselves.

With the mission of promoting the culture of the Capital, the A6 Youth Union of class 62 chose to focus on introducing famous landscapes in Hoan Kiem district. The students believe that love for the homeland and the Fatherland is most clearly and practically expressed through the red addresses marking historical years.
At the step of "realizing ideas", in order to save time and improve work efficiency, the Youth Union is divided into groups with different tasks: directly going to locations to collect information; in charge of images, designing book pages; recording and post-recording, creating audiobooks - podcasts.
Sharing about the process of making the book, Nguyen Hoang Anh, a member of the group, said: “Due to the requirement of completing the product with the best quality, each stage and each group of us encountered certain challenges. As a member of the information team, I feel that my task requires quite a lot of investment and information filtering, not only stopping at referring to accurate sources of information but also requiring the latest updates.”
Drawing the 3D book pages by hand is also an “interesting but equally difficult” task. Tran Minh Phuong - the “artist” behind the drawings expressed through sketching style, bearing the nostalgic imprint of famous landscapes and relics located in the heart of the capital. “The days before the Lunar New Year 2023 were the days when I spent a lot of time searching for images and drawing accordingly. Sometimes, just a wrong proportion or an unintentional stroke of the pen means the entire drawing has to be redone from the beginning. I am very happy and proud because the final result after hours of hard drawing is an extremely impressive 3D book page.”
3D relief in "One round Hoan Kiem"
"A Round of Hoan Kiem" was born as a project under the Local Education subject in the new General Education Program - to enhance students' understanding of the cultural values of the city and locality where they live, creating opportunities for them to create products together, establish projects that are the crystallization of understanding, knowledge, solidarity, dynamism, creativity, and above all, love for the country and gratitude for the historical and cultural values left by previous generations.
The book not only demonstrates the creativity, ingenuity and meticulousness of Tran Phu - Hoan Kiem students, but is also the result of the enthusiastic and passionate learning spirit for the history of the country of today's generation of students; from there, it serves as a foundation to continue building, cultivating and promoting the interest and pride of students in the heart of the Capital for a Vietnam with a strong national identity.
