Sowing "red seeds", awakening the desire to contribute

During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh always had a deep and immense love for the young generations of Vietnam. He emphasized that the youth are the future masters of the country. Imbued with the thoughts and viewpoints of President Ho Chi Minh, the discovery, training and admission of outstanding youth, students and pupils into the Party has always been of interest and importance to our Party. Admitting students and pupils to the Party is like sowing “red seeds” and nurturing “green shoots” to arouse the desire to contribute, helping to reap “sweet fruits” in the future.

ENHANCE YOUTH FOR THE PARTY

“What have we done for the Fatherland today?”, Dr. Vo The Quan, Party Cell Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Dong Do High School (Tay Ho District, Hanoi) borrowed the lyrics of the song “Aspiration of Youth” by Vu Hoang to talk to two young Party members at the solemn admission ceremony at the school in the 2023-2024 school year. Dr. Vo The Quan was extremely moved because this was the first time, after 33 years of establishment, that the Party Committee of this non-public school had two student Party members. “Continuously innovate, maintain the faith and aspiration to contribute of the 18-year-olds, and stand firm in the face of life’s challenges”, that was the message from the school Secretary to the two young Party members.

Not only Dong Do High School, the 2023-2024 school year witnessed a series of high schools in Hanoi and many localities across the country organizing Party admission for outstanding students, typically the following schools: Dong Da High School (Dong Da, Hanoi), Nguyen Trai High School (Ba Dinh, Hanoi), Tran Phu High School (Hoan Kiem, Hanoi), Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted (Cau Giay, Hanoi), Binh Chanh District High School for the Gifted in Sports (Ho Chi Minh City); Lao Cai City High School No. 1 (Lao Cai Province); Kim Dong High School (Hung Yen); Yen Dinh High School 1,2,3 (Thanh Hoa)...

It was touching and proud to see the party members who had just turned 18, standing under the national flag, the party flag and the portrait of beloved President Ho Chi Minh, swearing the determination of a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam, promising to continue to strive to always be worthy of being an exemplary party member, successfully completing all assigned tasks, contributing to building an increasingly strong party cell.

Let's look at their achievements: Nguyen Dang Khoi (Dong Da High School) won second prize in the legal knowledge contest of Dong Da High School Cluster; Encouragement prize for excellent students in History of Hanoi Department of Education and Training; Third prize in the science and technology contest of Dong Da High School Cluster.

Dam Ngoc Nhi (Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted) won First Prize in the Hanoi City Excellent Student Competition; Third Prize in the National Excellent Student Competition in History; First Prize in the Science and Technology Competition for High School Students at Cau Giay - Thanh Xuan Cluster; Third Prize in the City-level Science and Technology Competition; Certificate of Merit for 3 Good Students of Hanoi City.

Pham Khanh Ngoc, Secretary of the 12th grade Literature Youth Union (Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted) won the Gold Prize in the 2023 International Applied Science Competition; First Prize in Literature in the City's Excellent Student Selection Competition, and First Prize in the City's Book Promotion and Introduction Competition.

Vu Hoang Anh Thu, (National University of Education High School for the Gifted) received the Certificate of Merit for "3 Good Students" at the city level 2022-2023; Encouragement prize in the national competition for excellent high school students in the 2023-2024 school year; Gold medal at the World Invention and Creativity Olympiad (WICO) in 2023;

Khuat Quang Khoi, (National University of Education High School for the Gifted) received the Certificate of Merit for "3 Good Students" at the city level 2021-2022, at the central level for the school year 2022-2023; Third prize in the national competition for excellent high school students in 2023;...

All 18-year-old party members, although each has a different choice and dream, share the same aspiration to strive to stand in the Party's ranks to live and contribute their talents and youth to the Party's development, to build the country to become stronger, "on par with the world powers".

Principal of Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, Tran Thuy Duong, said that since the first student was admitted to the Party in 2022, the school has so far admitted 18 excellent students to the Party. Party members who have graduated from high school are still being cared for by the school's Party Committee in their learning and training process at the new training facility to grasp the process of maturity. From the excellent "red seeds" when they were still high school students, they have clearly matured when continuing to actively participate in activities and making many outstanding contributions to Party organizations.
