In recent times, export activities, especially agricultural product exports, have achieved positive results. Enterprises operating in this field have exploited the market and signed many new orders. Create reputation from product quality
Wood chip and plywood production is one of the export industries with a high proportion, with a much higher growth rate than previous years. Specifically, wood chip exports increased by 54.3%; plywood increased by 15.2% compared to the previous year. This growth is due to the impact of free trade agreements that have created favorable conditions for businesses to expand their markets and improve their export capacity. At the same time, many large markets such as the US, Europe, and China have also recovered positively after years of being affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
As a large plywood exporter in Trieu Son district, Trieu Thai Son Company Limited (Dan Luc commune) exports an average of more than 200 plywood containers to the US and EU markets each month. Mr. Pham Dinh Thang, director of the company, said: “From the beginning of 2024 until now, the purchasing power of the world and domestic markets has had many positive changes. Although the price of plywood products has increased by more than 10% compared to the previous year, thanks to the reputation created by the quality of plywood products and by the full delivery time, customers are still proactively looking to sign new orders with the business. Along with that, the tendency of sea freight rates to gradually decrease is a favorable condition for us to promote the exploitation of new orders and markets. Up to this point, the company's order output has increased by more than 20% compared to the same period last year".

The whole province currently has 79 growing area codes and 1 packaging facility with codes, with an area of 661.92 hectares, mainly concentrated in Yen Dinh, Hau Loc, Tho Xuan, Ngoc Lac districts... The granting of growing area codes is like a "passport" to help Thanh Hoa agricultural products access foreign markets. In addition, there are dozens of agricultural products certified with collective trademarks. In the first 9 months of 2024, agricultural, forestry, and fishery export activities in the province continued to recover and grow positively. To promote exports, especially agricultural products, since the beginning of the year, the Provincial People's Committee has strongly directed relevant sectors and localities to focus on improving the investment and business environment to support enterprises in developing production, creating a sustainable supply source for exports. The province's export enterprises, especially seafood processing enterprises, forestry products, cassava starch, etc., have proactively organized production, boldly invested, and completed production facilities to gradually improve production capacity and product quality; and are sensitive in finding export markets. The Department of Industry and Trade actively connects and supports enterprises in many activities to expand and promote export markets. At the same time, coordinate with relevant departments and sectors to support enterprises in market information, production processes, traceability, building codes for growing and farming areas; strengthen information and dialogue with enterprises to support the removal of barriers to serve production and export. At the same time, create conditions for businesses to participate in conferences, seminars, and trade promotion fairs to connect and expand consumption markets. Along with exporting goods abroad, units, localities, and agricultural production and processing enterprises are also very interested in expanding domestic consumption markets, bringing the province's goods to be consumed in many large provinces and cities nationwide.
Currently, Vietnam has signed many free trade agreements with countries around the world, especially protocols to promote the export of agricultural, forestry and fishery products to major markets such as China and the US. This is a favorable condition for domestic enterprises in general and Thanh Hoa in particular to exploit the market. The "good signal" from agricultural product export activities in the province in recent times has contributed to motivating enterprises and production facilities to strive to improve product quality towards food safety, ensuring traceability, building brands... Thereby, contributing to orienting production according to market demand, enhancing the reputation of Vietnamese agricultural products in general and Thanh Hoa in particular in the market not only domestically but also reaching out to countries around the world.
