That was the affirmation of Professor Hua Li Ping, Director of the Southeast Asian Research Center of the Institute for Global and Asia-Pacific Strategic Studies (CASS), Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, when answering an interview with a reporter from the People's Daily station in China about the results of the visit to China by General Secretary and President To Lam.

Professor Hua Li Ping said that General Secretary and President To Lam's visit to China this time has a very rich schedule, including high-level meetings, visits to red relics, the Central Party School of the Communist Party of China and high-tech enterprises, reflecting the strategic and substantive vision of General Secretary and President To Lam.

According to Professor Hua Liping, the most important contribution of this visit is to enhance strategic exchanges between the two Parties and senior leaders of the two countries; enhance mutual strategic trust, create a good political environment for China and Vietnam to carry out practical cooperation in the future; increase the confidence and determination of Chinese enterprises investing in Vietnam, and promote the rapid development of high-quality cooperation between China and Vietnam in the future.

During the visit, China and Vietnam signed many cooperation agreements, covering areas such as Party school cooperation, connectivity, industry, finance, customs inspection and quarantine, health, media, local cooperation, people's livelihood, etc., including exchanges on state management, industrialization development, people-to-people exchanges, etc., reflecting the breadth and depth of bilateral cooperation.

Regarding the highlights of the visit, Professor Hua Li Ping affirmed that there were many outstanding features in this visit. Firstly, the visit to Guangzhou by General Secretary and President To Lam coincided with the 100th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's arrival from Moscow to Guangzhou as a representative of the Communist International to carry out revolutionary activities, which contributed to reviewing a vivid historical milestone for the Chinese and Vietnamese people, highlighting the red address origin of the two Parties.

In particular, the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association founded by President Ho Chi Minh in Guangzhou in June 1925, the predecessor of the Communist Party of Vietnam, trained many Vietnamese revolutionaries who became important forces of the Vietnamese revolution, and is an important historical legacy of the cooperation between the two Parties.

Second, before General Secretary and President Xi Jinping held an official welcoming ceremony for General Secretary and President To Lam at the square outside the Great Hall of the People, the song “Vietnam-China” composed by a Vietnamese musician was played, expressing the warm and friendly atmosphere between China and Vietnam. This attracted the attention of many people, creating a huge influence.

Third, General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping had a tea talk with General Secretary and President To Lam, continuing the tradition during General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's visit to China, demonstrating the cultural similarities between the two countries, and at the same time serving as the cultural foundation for building the China-Vietnam Community of Shared Future.
