Hoa Tien Village, Chau Tien Commune, Quy Chau District, Nghe An Province, is an ancient Thai village, known as one of the most famous and oldest brocade weaving addresses of the Thai people in Nghe An Province. Continuing through many generations, the Thai community is working together to develop the brocade weaving profession that has a long history. With their love for the profession and skillful hands, they quietly "awaken" the loom, preserving the traditional weaving profession.
For generations, the women here have been attached to the brocade weaving profession. With skillful hands, we women still work hard at the looms, even after years when it seemed like the profession was lost. Just like that, with the cycle of life, for generations, these women have still attached to and developed the profession. The brocade fabric of Hoa Tien craft village is popular thanks to its eye-catching decorative patterns, with its own unique characteristics. Artisan Sam Thi Tinh absorbs and creates new patterns to produce highly applicable brocade products.
Born and raised in the “cradle” of brocade in Hoa Tien village, from the age of 7-8, little girl Sam Thi Tinh was taught and guided how to weave brocade by her mother, Sam Thi Bich, Director of Hoa Tien Brocade Cooperative. From then on, her love for weaving was kindled and formed, and she created her own weaving products. In particular, she absorbed and created new patterns and brocade products with high applicability.
Expanding the market for traditional brocade
Ms. Sam Thi Tinh said that the unique feature of Hoa Tien brocade is the preservation of local silkworm breeds along with the process of cultivating mulberry and cotton manually. People here know how to use some natural materials from trees, tubers, and fruits available in the garden and forest to make dyes. To date, Hoa Tien has created 52 colors to dye many materials such as raw silkworm fabric, silk, cotton, linen, etc.
In addition, the Thai people in Hoa Tien also preserve the meticulous weaving and dyeing techniques, creating unique patterns on fabrics and towels. Products from Hoa Tien are very unique, with fabrics of a certain roughness from the material, sturdy embroidery, diverse natural dyes, and durable beauty over time.
Products of Hoa Tien brocade craft village cooperative are introduced at domestic and international fairs.
Currently, Hoa Tien brocade weaving has been recognized as a typical OCOP product of Nghe An province. In addition to traditional products such as skirts, shirts, Pieu scarves, etc., Ms. Sam Thi Tinh has designed and processed many valuable products such as: silk scarves, silk scarves, bags, brocade shoes, stuffed animals, home decoration products such as pillowcases, tablecloths, etc.
Not only developing in the village, the cooperative has opened a product showroom in Hanoi, promoting traditional products of the homeland and finding outlets for the products, helping people have more income to cover their living expenses.
The cooperative organizes experiential workshops, introducing the beauty of brocade to domestic and foreign customers.

Since then, Hoa Tien brocade brand has expanded further through tourism and trade activities and also linked with traditional brocade weaving products from cooperatives and ethnic groups in many other localities.
