Midu spent nearly 300 million VND to order 39 Ao Dai for the wedding ceremony.

Midu and businessman Minh Dat held their wedding ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City on the morning of June 23. Relatives from both families and close friends were present to witness the couple's big day.

Besides the space filled with fresh flowers, the online community also discussed the fashion at the ceremony. The bride and groom stood out in red ao dai, while the tray bearers looked unique in earthy orange designs.

Midu ordered 39 ao dai for the wedding ceremony, with a total value of up to 297 million VND. Designer Dung Nguyen revealed that Midu and stylist Tran Nhat Duy worked with him to come up with ideas for the ao dai for the couple, family and friends. "Because of their love for traditional beauty and Vietnamese culture, the actress and her fiancé requested simplicity. They wanted all the outfits to be luxurious, elegant and refined, imbued with national identity but still have highlights, expressing their own personalities."

Midu - Minh Dat's ao dai was inspired by apricot blossoms, symbolizing independence, perseverance and loyalty. The apricot blossom details embroidered on the chest of the ao dai were completed by artisans within a month.

After a long time searching in many places, designer Dung Nguyen decided to choose the traditional material typical of Hanoi, Van Phuc silk. The ao dai created have a combination of traditional features with modern shapes, high-quality material processing techniques. The separate veil is delicately attached to help the bride look youthful.

The outfits chosen by both families for the child's happy day focused on elegance with blue and pink colors on a high-quality silk background and embroidered with rose motifs.

Initially, the designer felt quite pressured when accepting the invitation to make ao dai for this ceremony. Because Midu is a lecturer in fashion design, which requires meticulousness and fastidiousness in the outfit for the big day. The couple's sophistication and neatness are also shown through tailoring ao dai for the male and female bridesmaids with specific measurements for each person.

Midu (real name Dang Thi My Dung, born in 1989) was famous as a teenage model before entering the film industry. She is known for works such as White Angel, Heroic Destiny , When We Are 25... Currently, Midu is a lecturer in Fashion Design, Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology.

Midu's husband is businessman Tran Duy Minh Dat (born in 1990). He graduated with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of California, USA. He is currently the operations director of the family's plastics company branch in the US and vice president of a business club in Ho Chi Minh City.
