MG D90 2025 launched - 7-seat SUV "challenges" Ford Everest

The new MG D90 2025 is the first SUV from the MG brand to use a turbocharged diesel engine, developed to meet the needs of powerful and fuel-efficient performance in developing markets.

Specifically, the 2025 MG D90 SUV is equipped with a 2.0L turbocharged diesel engine, producing 215 horsepower and 500 Nm of maximum torque. The engine is combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission and a full-time 4-wheel drive system, along with an intelligent terrain control system, to optimize performance on a variety of terrain conditions.

MG’s approval to supply diesel engines in the Philippines last month paved the way for the launch of the D90. In some international markets, the model is also known as the MG Gloster, while in the ASEAN region, the D90 is the more commonly used name.

The MG D90 2025 has a large size with a length of 4,985 mm, a width of 1,926 mm, a height of 1,867 mm and a wheelbase of 2,950 mm. This size not only provides stability when operating but also ensures spacious interior space for all three rows of seats, meeting the needs of family or work travel.

In terms of design, the MG D90 impresses with its large octagonal grille, sharp LED headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights, and large diamond-cut alloy wheels that create a powerful and modern look. The rear of the car stands out with LED taillights that hug the body, creating a seamless feel while increasing brand recognition.

The panoramic sunroof and roof rails add to the practicality and aesthetics. In terms of interior, the MG D90's cabin is fully upholstered in leather, designed in a luxurious and comfortable style. The center of the dashboard is a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

Behind the steering wheel is an 8-inch multi-information screen that displays full operating parameters and driving support. The car is also equipped with a three-zone automatic air conditioning system, an 8-way power driver's seat, a second-row captain's seat, a hands-free electric trunk, LED interior lighting, a high-end sound system and especially a 360-degree camera.

Notably, the MG D90 is integrated with the ADAS active safety system, including lane keeping assist, blind spot warning, front and rear collision warning, automatic emergency braking, rear cross traffic warning, and tire pressure monitoring system.

These are features that are usually only found on high-end SUVs, showing the technological direction that MG is pursuing. Currently, the MG D90 is still on display before officially going on sale in the Philippines.

However, according to the company's source, this SUV will be distributed in two versions: COM (standard) and LUX (high-end), both using four-wheel drive. The specific price of the MG D90 2025 has not been announced, but it is likely to be highly competitive to attract customers who are considering traditional options.
