Meizu shifts focus to AI instead of smartphones

Meizu will rely on cooperation with large corporations in developing a new ecosystem, such as OpenAI. In the next 3 years, the company plans to launch 6 devices that support AI functions. The first model will appear this year, next year it will be updated and come with several types of devices to work with AI.

In 2026, the company will introduce three more AI devices at once, with the two mentioned last year and an "AI Device PRO" device that will appear aimed at more professional use.

With the new strategy, Meizu will stop developing the successors of Meizu 21 PRO, Meizu 22 and Meizu 23, instead focusing a certain amount of money on user support activities. Service and software platforms such as Flyme OS, Flyme Auto, Flyme AR, MYVU, PANDAER and Boundless Intelligence will continue to operate during the transition period, and current Meizu smartphone owners will still be provided with necessary technical support.
