TPO - Combined with the handcrafted red finish, the appearance of the house evokes a traditional feeling for the user, creating a profound experience of space and time.

The project consists of seven separate blocks, each one to two stories high. The overall layout interweaves the house with the garden.

Modules of varying heights create a “layered” appearance, transforming the spaces in between into courtyards and gardens. This arrangement is meant to evoke a traditional village.

The courtyard serves as a neutral space for activities such as relaxing, playing, and chatting.

Along with the air and light wells between the modules, the house diversifies the spatial experience and enhances the natural atmosphere by allowing sunlight and rain to flow into the structure.

The architects respected the natural landscape and the original condition of the site. Therefore, the existing mature trees were preserved and interwoven to provide shade and integration to the new architecture.

Offering a modern take on the use of indigenous handcrafted materials, the structure innovates and applies traditional bricks throughout the entire structure, from the overall form to details such as eaves, vents, walls and fences.

Combined with the handcrafted red finish, the appearance of the house evokes a sense of tradition for the user, creating a profound experience of space and time.
