Mazda EZ-60 2026 revealed - electric SUV with coupe design

The video shows the design of the new 2026 Mazda EZ-60 shown through a wind tunnel simulation, reminiscent of the Arata concept that appeared at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show. The Mazda EZ-60 was developed specifically for the Chinese market to compete with the Tesla Model Y. The car may use the CX-6e name when sold in some other markets.

Based on the teaser, it can be seen that this new SUV has a coupe design with an extended tail, helping to optimize wind-gliding ability. Compared to current SUV lines such as CX-50, CX-70 or CX-90, the Mazda EZ-60 electric SUV looks more elegant but appears significantly longer.

Inside the cabin, the Mazda EZ-60 will likely inherit the minimalist style of the EZ-6 sedan, but the car will still have high-end accents to create a luxurious feel. The EZ-6 was displayed by Mazda at the Bangkok International Motor Show in March, showing the company's general design direction in the future.

Regarding operation, Mazda has not announced official specifications, but it is likely that the EZ-60 will use the EPA1 platform developed by Changan, similar to the EZ-6.

This is also the common architecture of several other electric vehicles such as the Deepal SL03 and Deepal S7, which means the EZ-60 can share powertrain options with the Deepal S7, including both pure electric and hybrid versions.

If it's like the EZ-6, the EZ-60 could come in two electric powertrain configurations. The first is the standard E-Skyactiv EV version with 254 horsepower, a 68.8 kWh battery for a range of about 300 miles.

Second is the long-range version of the 2026 Mazda EZ-60 SUV with 241 horsepower, an 80 kWh battery, and an estimated range of 550 km.

In addition, Mazda may introduce a hybrid variant. This version may use a 1.5L gasoline engine combined with a smaller battery pack to provide backup power when needed.
