According to Deputy Head of the Standing Committee for Mass Mobilization of the City Party Committee Vu Ha, after 15 years of implementing Conclusion No. 62-KL/TW dated December 8, 2009 of the Politburo (10th tenure) "on continuing to innovate the content and methods of operation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations", the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations of the city have had many positive changes, achieving many outstanding results. Activities are strongly oriented towards the grassroots, overcoming the situation of "administrativeization" in organization and operation.

In particular, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations actively innovated the content and methods of operation, did a good job of attracting and gathering people from all walks of life to actively participate in the patriotic emulation movement. Thereby, making an important contribution to the implementation of political goals and tasks, economic development, socio-culture, national defense and security of the country and the Capital.

Through the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, union members, association members and people are guaranteed the right to mastery, participate in supervising government agencies, cadres, party members, civil servants and public employees. At the same time, they criticize and contribute constructive opinions on the Party's policies and the State's and City's laws related to their legitimate rights and interests, contributing to Party and government building.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations are increasingly affirming their important role, worthy of being organizations representing all classes of the Capital's people, and being a bridge between the Party, the State and the People. At the same time, diversifying forms of gathering the People and focusing on grassroots activities; promoting the initiative and creativity of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at all levels in mobilizing the People in accordance with the characteristics of the locality and unit.

Notably, Party committees at all levels regularly pay attention to perfecting and arranging the apparatus and cadres of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in a suitable, streamlined, effective and efficient manner. Directing the review, revision, supplementation and finalization of regulations on functions, tasks, powers, apparatus organization and working relationships.

Play a good role as the center of great solidarity

Emphasizing the important role of the Fatherland Front at all levels and the city's socio-political organizations in rallying the masses, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the City Nguyen Sy Truong said that the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels of the city need to better perform their core role in chairing democratic consultation.

At the same time, continue to consolidate and fulfill the role as the center of the great solidarity bloc, gather all social forces to build the great solidarity bloc of the whole people, create consensus in society to gather people and the entire political organization to participate in the common development of the city.

In addition, the Party Committee needs to pay more attention to leading the innovation of the content and methods of operation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations. The coordination between the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and the government and sectors needs to be synchronous to create strength in rallying the masses and avoid overlap in implementation.

 

Up to now, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the City has 50 members. The Women's Union has a total of 942,292 members. The Farmers' Association of the City has a total of 472,430 members. In 10 years of implementing Decision No. 217-QD/TW of the Politburo, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations of the City have organized 68,079 supervision meetings; organized 9,818 feedback conferences...

Affirming that the city has always maintained a secure, safe and stable investment environment over the past time, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong said that in that result, there are very important contributions from the Fatherland Front at all levels and the city's socio-political organizations.

In order to promote the role, tasks and functions in the coming time, the Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee suggested that it is necessary to continue to raise the awareness of Party committees at all levels about the activities of the Fatherland Front at all levels as well as socio-political organizations. For the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations, it is necessary to constantly innovate the content and methods of operation to suit the reality and development requirements of the city today. At the same time, actively apply digital transformation in activities; build a team of cadres of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations; do a good job of advising the city on mass mobilization issues.

“How can each citizen and each family in the capital promote the spirit of Thang Long, the aspiration to contribute to the overall development of the city? This requires the participation of the Fatherland Front system at all levels of the city and socio-political organizations” – the Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee emphasized.
