Hundreds of Tet gifts were given to people in the border area of Dak Lak province during the Tet holiday.
On January 18-19, 2025 (the 19th and 20th of the Lunar New Year), at the border commune of Krong Na, the Se Re Pok Border Guard Station under the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard Command coordinated with local Party Committees and authorities to organize the program "Spring Border Guard warms the hearts of the villagers" in 2025 for people in the border area.
Major Pham Van Thuc, Deputy Political Commissar of Se Re Pok Border Guard Station, shared: “Every time Tet comes, the program “Border Spring - Warming the hearts of the villagers” is coordinated by the unit. The program not only provides material support to poor households in the border areas but also demonstrates the affection and responsibility of the Border Guard soldiers towards the ethnic minorities. The activities in the program have contributed to strengthening the solidarity between the army and the people in the border areas.”
Within the framework of the program, the Organizing Committee awarded 14 gifts, worth 500,000 VND/gift, to poor students in especially difficult circumstances; awarded 286 gifts, worth 400,000 VND/gift, to policy families, meritorious families, families in difficult circumstances...; awarded 1,000 banh chung worth 35 million VND to people in the commune.
In this program, Dai Doan Ket Newspaper has 50 gifts, each worth 350 thousand VND including: Rice, instant noodles, fish sauce, cooking oil, MSG, cakes, given to 50 poor households with especially difficult circumstances in the commune.
Previously, in the border commune of Ia Lop, Ea Sup district, Dai Doan Ket Newspaper gave 100 million VND to Mr. Y Hon Nie's family, a poor household with especially difficult housing circumstances in the border commune of Krong Na, Buon Don district, to build a Dai Doan Ket house.
In addition, Se Re Pok Border Guard Station also coordinated with local Party Committees and authorities to organize cultural and artistic exchanges, campfires, banh chung wrapping competitions, tug of war, stick pushing, sack jumping, free haircuts, etc. These activities created a warm Tet atmosphere and solidarity between the army and the people.
Holding the gifts in her hands, Ms. Vu Thi Yen Ngoc in Buon Ea Rong B, Krong Na commune, Buon Don district emotionally said: "We are very happy to receive gifts from the program's organizers. We are very grateful to the organizers, the Border Guard, Dai Doan Ket Newspaper and the benefactors."
The program "Border Spring - Warming the hearts of the villagers 2025" in Krong Na commune left a deep impression on the people. The bright smiles and sparkling eyes of the people are clear evidence of the success of the program.
