Every year, as the anniversary of Binh Thuan's Liberation Day (April 19, 1975 - April 19, 2024) approaches, every patriotic citizen shares a common mood and feeling of pride in the glorious victory.
For the younger generation, even though they were born after the liberation day and lived in peace, the mark of the April 19 victory is still indelible and becomes the motivation to live, work and contribute in a way that is worthy of the noble sacrifice of the previous generation.
In recent years, implementing the national moral tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source", Binh Thuan youth have carried out many specific and practical activities and movements to express the gratitude and responsibility of the young generation towards the generations of fathers and brothers who died for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. In particular, on the occasion of the 49th anniversary of the Liberation Day of Binh Thuan (April 19, 1975 - April 19, 2024), the Provincial Youth Union will organize a candle lighting ceremony to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs at the provincial Martyrs' Cemetery on the evening of April 17. The candles were lit as if to express infinite gratitude and respectfully remember the revolutionary predecessors and heroic martyrs who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation. In addition, it reminds today's young generation to have the responsibility to both protect and build a rich and beautiful homeland and country.
Along with the organization of the candle lighting ceremony to pay tribute to heroic martyrs, in recent years, the work of educating revolutionary traditions, specifically the work of "Repaying gratitude", "When drinking water, remember its source" has always been considered by the Youth Union chapters at all levels in the province as an important task that needs to be promoted. From there, it arouses patriotism, national pride and the responsibility of young people in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland in the current period. In particular, every year on the days of April, the Youth Union chapters at all levels in the province simultaneously organize many meaningful and practical activities such as repairing, embellishing, cleaning to create a green, clean and beautiful environment; lighting candles, offering incense to commemorate heroic martyrs at martyrs' cemeteries, martyrs' monuments, memorial steles, and traditional revolutionary historical sites of the locality and unit. At the same time, receiving care and support for heroic Vietnamese mothers; Organize visits, give gifts, examine and distribute free medicine, give health insurance cards, help beautify the houses of war invalids, relatives of martyrs, people with meritorious services to the revolution in the locality, unit... Thereby, showing gratitude to heroic martyrs, people with meritorious services in the cause of national liberation struggle, building and defending the Fatherland.
The war has long gone, but the contributions and sacrifices of the wounded and fallen soldiers will forever be engraved in the golden pages of the nation's history as an immortal heroic epic. And today's young generation has followed in the footsteps of their ancestors, continuing to write the heroic pages of history of the past.
