According to BGR , in the latest report, Mr. Kuo said "it seems that Apple will not launch new MacBook models (equipped with M3 series CPUs) before the end of this year". Currently, it is still unclear why Apple delayed this first series of M3 MacBooks.
Users may have to wait until next year to buy a MacBook with an M3 chip.
Earlier, expert Mark Gurman said that Apple is ready to launch several new M3 Macs later this year, including a 13-inch MacBook Air, a 13-inch MacBook Pro, a low-cost Mac mini, and a new 24-inch iMac. According to Gurman, these products will be introduced for the first time at an event in October. The specific details are as follows:
- 13-inch MacBook Air (codename Mac 15,1 and J513/J613): could launch in October with M3 chip. The most recent version of the product was launched in June 2022.
- 13-inch MacBook Pro (codename Mac 15.3 and J504): could also be announced in October with an M3 chip after the most recent version was launched in June 2022.
- 24-inch iMac (codenames Mac 15.4, Mac 15.5, J433 and J434): After being last updated in April 2021, Gurman expects a new version with the M3 chip to be launched at an event in October.
- Mac mini (codename Mac 15.12): Gurman said Apple has begun testing a Mac mini M3 with 8 CPU cores, 10 graphics cores, and 24GB of RAM. It runs macOS Sonoma 14.1, but it's unclear whether it will be introduced by the end of October.
Additionally, Mr. Gurman also said that a new 15-inch MacBook Air is being developed by Apple, although it is unclear when this product might be launched.
