This is a good price for PQ tangerine growers in the area. In particular, many mass organizations such as the Farmers' Association, Youth Union, and Women's Union also connect and introduce individuals and businesses to help people consume PQ tangerines.

This year, PQ tangerines in Minh Hop commune, Quy Hop district, Nghe An province yielded 20 to 25 tons/ha. However, the price of each kilogram of PQ tangerines dropped to an unprecedented low, making it difficult to sell.

People sadly watched PQ tangerines fall to the ground and turn yellow.

Not only PQ tangerine growers, many traders in Quy Hop district also face difficulties due to weak consumption. Previously, PQ tangerines were mainly purchased and transported to the northern provinces and Thanh Hoa for consumption. However, this year, PQ tangerines cannot be consumed in these markets, they are mainly consumed within the province, so the quantity is very limited. Because Chinese tangerines are sweet, they are more popular.

This year, PQ tangerine trees yielded 20 to 25 tons/ha. Since the beginning of the season, there have been very few tangerine buyers, so there is still a lot of unsold fruit.

Faced with the situation of PQ tangerine prices falling too low, many households have switched from tangerine trees to corn and sugarcane. Currently, the whole commune has only about 150 hectares of PQ tangerine. It is expected that people will also convert the area of ​​PQ tangerine cultivation to other crops.

PQ tangerines are also known as Phu Quy peeled oranges. This tangerine variety was originally brought from other places to Phu Quy, Nghe An to grow. In 2001, Phu Quy Fruit Research Center bred and propagated the fruit for localization. PQ tangerines used to bring a good income to people in Phu Quy districts of Nghe An. In recent years, PQ tangerines have continuously fallen in price and are difficult to sell, causing the area planted with this tangerine variety to gradually decrease.
