Over the past few days, the image of the dragon mascot posted on the Facebook of Hoa Mi Kindergarten (Son Ha District, Quang Ngai Province) has attracted the attention of many people. Hundreds of comments praised the teachers' skillful hands in creating a vivid dragon from paper materials.

The dragon mascot was made by teachers of Hoa Mi Kindergarten to decorate and create a Tet atmosphere for the students. The dragon mascot is more than 2m long and 1.5m high, made from cardboard and paper boxes. Parts such as the beard, claws, etc. are made quite meticulously, thanks to which the dragon mascot looks very lively.
Teachers take advantage of their lunch break or the end of class to cut and paste dragon shapes. After a week of cutting and pasting, the dragon mascot was completed and became the highlight of the Tet decoration area of Hoa Mi Kindergarten.

Teacher Tran Thi Kim Mai said that preschool teachers are quite busy taking care of children. However, they still take time to decorate for Tet and make dragon mascots. The children love to take pictures with the dragon.
"From a non-existent animal, the teachers have helped the children, especially those in the mountainous areas, have certain images of the mascot of the year. The paper dragon also creates excitement for parents to visit and take pictures with their children," said Ms. Mai.

According to Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Kieu, Principal of Hoa Mi Kindergarten, the school always organizes decorations on every occasion of Lunar New Year. This is to create a bustling Tet atmosphere for students, parents and teachers.
Teachers and parents decorated the flower gate and set up a market stall with traditional cakes for Tet. This helped students observe and experience the traditional Tet atmosphere of the nation.
What is more special is that this year the teachers also made a dragon mascot. The paper dragon received positive feedback from many parents.
"The mascots that symbolize each year exist in reality, but the dragon is very strange to children and does not exist in reality.
From the perspective of child-centered education, promoting children's positivity and creativity, we want to make a beautiful dragon for children to experience and explore," said Ms. Kieu.
