On the morning of October 23, the Provincial Cooperative Union (CPU) held a ceremony to celebrate its 30th anniversary (October 23, 1993 - October 23, 2023).

Attending the event were Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance Cao Xuan Thu Van; Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Trung; Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Ngoc Nghi; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Tran Phu Hung; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thien Van; leaders of departments, branches and sectors of the province.

Over 30 years of construction and development, with 6 congresses, the Provincial Cooperative Union has performed well its function of representing and protecting the legitimate rights of its members; propagating, mobilizing, consulting on the establishment and accompanying and supporting cooperatives to exploit the potential and strengths of the locality to develop production and business, affirming the role and position of the collective economic sector (KTTT) and cooperatives in the socio-economic development of the province.
Besides, cooperatives have overcome weaknesses, strived to develop on a larger scale, stable quality of operations, improved production and business results and more sustainability.

To date, the province has over 770 cooperatives. The average revenue of each cooperative is 1.5 billion VND/year; the average profit is 150 million VND/year; attracting over 69,500 members; creating jobs for over 22,500 workers.
Of which, there are 24 cooperatives, with 33 products classified as OCOP, many agricultural cooperatives have applied high technology in production.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Ngoc Nghi commended and acknowledged the efforts and achievements that the Provincial Cooperative Union has achieved in recent times.
At the same time, it is recommended that Party committees, authorities, Fatherland Fronts, unions, departments, branches, localities, and the Provincial Cooperative Union effectively implement a number of key tasks, such as: raising awareness of the nature, position, role, and importance of the collective economy in the socialist-oriented market economy; enhancing the application of high technology and digital technology associated with processing and consumption according to the value chain, improving quality, efficiency, competitiveness, and proactively integrating internationally.

Along with that, continue to apply science and technology and carry out digital transformation towards focusing on developing a modern, sustainable agricultural sector with high added value.

At the ceremony, the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance awarded the Medal for the Development of Cooperatives to 13 individuals and Certificates of Merit to 8 groups and 8 individuals.
The Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 17 collectives and 12 individuals who have made many contributions to the province's economic development.

On this occasion, the Provincial Cooperative Union also launched the provincial economic information website. This will be an important channel to help cooperatives in the province update and supplement information about their products and goods to promote their image through page links.
