Hon Ba is a tourist attraction included in the "Tour following the footsteps of doctor A. Yersin".
Mr. Nguyen Duy Quang, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Khanh Hoa province, said that a pilot program (3 months) is being implemented to bring tourists to Hon Ba, with the conditions for receiving tourists here gradually being completed.
Tourists who want to visit must join tours organized by travel agencies authorized by the Department of Tourism. Before each trip, the travel agency must report the number of guests, as well as disseminate regulations on sightseeing and environmental protection. Tourists should not arbitrarily go to the top of Hon Ba.
Mr. Nguyen Phi Hong Nguyen - Director of Viet Promotion Service and Tourism Company Limited, Vice President of Khanh Hoa Travel Association - said that on April 2, he will organize a famtrip for companies in the Travel Association to survey and evaluate destinations before operating the program.
Near the end of April 2024, a pilot tour of Hon Ba peak will be launched.
According to Mr. Nguyen, to prepare to welcome guests, a company has repaired the toilets, installed signs, warnings, on-site fire prevention and fighting equipment, safe corridors for the photo area; cleaned and renovated the relic site of Dr. A. Yersin's office...

According to this tour schedule, after visiting the places associated with the life of doctor A. Yersin in Nha Trang city, tourists will be transferred to a tourist area at the foot of Hon Ba mountain.
Next, visitors will be transferred to the top at an altitude of 1,500m (17km long distance) by specialized tourist vehicle, where Dr. A. Yersin's office is located.
Before passing through the checkpoint of the Hon Ba Nature Reserve Management Board, visitors will be registered, before moving into the strictly controlled area of the reserve.
The bus travels continuously every 30 minutes, with sightseeing and resting time ranging from 60 - 120 minutes.
During the initial testing period, each vehicle can carry a maximum of 16 people including the driver and a permanent tour guide.
After the tour, guests will be taken back down the mountain to rest and have lunch.

According to Mr. Nguyen, taking guests to the top of Hon Ba is associated with the tour "Following the footsteps of doctor A. Yersin" connecting all the places associated with the doctor's life, from the sea to the forest.
"The tour departs daily, very suitable for guests with short stays but still want to experience new tourism products," said Mr. Nguyen.
In addition to visiting Hon Ba peak, visitors will visit places such as A.Yersin park, Tran Phu bridge to see Cai river and Nha Trang beach, with Dai gate and Con village...
Then visitors will visit the Yersin Museum located in the Pasteur Institute, Institute of Oceanography in Nha Trang City.
