This morning (September 22), the flag-raising ceremony of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation was held at the square of the 19th Asiad athletes' village in Hangzhou (China).
Attending the flag-raising ceremony were Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Dao Cuong, Consul General of Vietnam in Shanghai (China) Nguyen The Tung, Director of the Department of Sports and Physical Training, and Head of the Vietnam Sports Delegation (VSD) at the 19th Asiad Dang Ha Viet, and members of the VSD.

At this flag-raising ceremony, the host country China had an impressive art performance, introducing unique cultural features and at the same time expressing the host country's warmth and hospitality to international friends.
Also performing the flag-raising ceremony with the Vietnamese delegation this morning (September 22) were other delegations including Macau (China), Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Timor Leste, and Turkmenistan.
At the flag-raising ceremony, representatives of the Organizing Committee (OC) of the 19th Asiad sent their warmest greetings to the delegations attending the congress and presented souvenirs to the delegations.

In return, representatives of the delegations also presented souvenirs to the Organizing Committee. In particular, Head of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation at the 19th Asiad Dang Ha Viet presented the Organizing Committee representative with a painting of the One Pillar Pagoda, one of the symbols of Vietnamese culture.
At exactly 10:35 local time (9:30 Vietnam time), the red flag with yellow star of Vietnam flew at the square of the 19th Asiad Athletes' Village, marking the official presence of the Vietnamese sports delegation at the congress.
Fencer Vu Thanh An shared: "When the national flag was raised and the members of the Vietnamese delegation proudly sang the national anthem of their country, I felt even more love, more pride, and more determination and motivation to compete with all my might for the flag and colors of the Fatherland."
