The photo exhibition “Mother loves child” includes 30 photos of moments between mother and child, though ordinary but warm and loving, taken by photographer Le Bich over a period of nearly 20 years. Photographer Le Bich traveled from the northern mountainous provinces to the central provinces with her camera as a companion, the author met, talked and “captured” emotional moments as real as a vivid film about the simple story of mother and child.
We will encounter the story of maternal love, that simple and sacred attachment is present in every moment of photos filled with love of grandmothers and mothers in remote villages, from the misty high mountains to the plains. Regardless of the region, ethnicity, whether Mong, Thai, Nung, Lo Lo Den or Kinh people, expressing affection for their beloved children is very natural whether in the moments of work, play, rest or knowledge transfer...
Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Huong, Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union, delivered the opening speech at the exhibition.
Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Huong, Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union, said: "In today's exhibition, looking at 30 photos with 30 stories about maternal love, I really feel moved. After each photo by Le Bich, I see it as a vivid film about special but very ordinary and dear moments of mothers in the lowlands or highlands, in the mountains as well as the plains, skillfully recorded from the author's observations, views and feelings on each path he takes. It is even more special to me when these sacred moments are recorded from a journey of nearly 20 years through the lens and emotions of a male photographer with a deep understanding of maternal love."
"Over the years, we are very pleased that the Vietnam Women's Museum has continuously received affection from organizations, individuals, artists, and photographers who have donated their brainchildren to the Museum. I strongly believe that in the coming time, the Museum will continue to be a trusted address for artists and owners of artifacts to donate their collections to join hands with the Museum to honor and spread cultural and historical values to the public at home and abroad," the Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union emphasized.

At the event, Photographer Le Bich shared: "In 2005, when I first took the photo On Mother's Back, I had a special feeling about maternal love. The image of a Mong baby sleeping soundly on the back of his mother who was selling goods at the wine corner of Bac Ha market touched my heart strongly and I decided to start a journey to explore different emotions about maternal love. With my works, I hope to touch your hearts, so that we can love our mothers more, because we are all born from our mothers."
In particular, within the framework of the event, there was also a ceremony to present the photo collection of the exhibition "Mother loves her child" by photographer Le Bich to the Vietnam Women's Museum and a sharing session with journalist Tran Mai Anh, Thien Nhan's mother, the founder of the fund "Thien Nhan & friends", and also a character appearing in the photo collection of this exhibition.
