Ronaldo cried after losing the King Cup final
Striker Cristiano Ronaldo was extremely disappointed after Al Nassr lost 4-5 to Al Hilal in the King Cup final penalty shootout on the evening of May 31.
After Nasser Aldawsari scored Al Hilal's fifth penalty, Ronaldo collapsed on the King Abdullah Sports City pitch. He then lay down and cried, covering his face. His teammates and coaching staff had to come to his aid.
After a while, Ronaldo sat up, but continued to sob.
When leaving the stadium to make way for the organizers to prepare for the awards ceremony, the 39-year-old superstar sat in the Al Nassr technical area, but was still not over it. He was still crying, shaking despite trying to hold back.
This defeat caused the Portuguese striker and his teammates to miss the opportunity to defend the King's Cup title. Before that, they lost in the Saudi Arabian National Championship, finishing second behind Al Hilal.
