Introducing Dien Bien with the Dien Bien Phu Victory on May 7, 1954, " famous in five continents, shaking the world ". Comrade Le Thanh Do - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: Dien Bien is a land rich in cultural identity of ethnic groups, with majestic nature, heroic history, unique culture, especially the province has many potentials and strengths to develop agricultural, forestry and tourism production.

Expressing his joy at the traditional friendly and cooperative relationship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation in general, and between Dien Bien and Saint Petersburg city in particular, which is growing stronger and stronger, he wished to welcome investors and businesses from Russia in general and Saint Petersburg city in particular to research and invest in the province, especially in the fields of tourism, agriculture and forestry in Dien Bien province...

Based on the content of the Cooperation Agreement between Dien Bien province and Saint Petersburg city (Russian Federation) signed on November 29, 2024 in the fields of trade, economy, science and technology. At this meeting, in order to concretize the content of the signed Cooperation Agreement, the two sides continued to agree to further strengthen cooperation in a number of areas such as: Tourism, health, health care, education, agriculture and forestry. The two localities will jointly develop a roadmap and soon implement exchange activities through cooperation programs, organize online conferences at different levels, focusing on two areas: tourism and health (oncology, cardiovascular); organize cultural and artistic exchange activities between the two localities...

On the occasion of the delegation's visit and work in Saint Petersburg city, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Comrade Le Thanh Do - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee respectfully invited the leaders of the government and the Saint Petersburg city delegation to visit and attend the Northwest Quintessence Festival Program in Dien Bien province, scheduled to take place in early September 2025.

At the end of the meeting, the two sides affirmed to continue to maintain, preserve and promote the close relationship between Dien Bien province and Saint Petersburg city. Thereby, contributing to deepening the traditional friendship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation./.
