These works are on display at the exhibition Along the Homeland Road, organized by the 5P Club. The exhibition opened on the morning of December 15 at the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Association.

Use cotton thread to "paint"

The exhibition Along the Homeland introduces 120 works by 22 artists depicting moments of people and natural beauty in all regions of the country. The works are presented on many materials such as silk, oil, acrylic, paper... The artists express themselves through many different styles such as realism, semi-realism, impressionism, abstraction... The artists participating in this exhibition include: Minh Minh, Duyen Tran, Yen Truc, Trac Phieu, Minh Son, Trang Nguyen, Nguyen Thi Tam, Nhu Khoi, Thuy Linh, Thanh Le and Huong Giang... Especially the presence of designer - artist Truong Minh Nghia brings creative works. He uses multi-colored cotton thread for hand embroidery combined with computer embroidery to create unique paintings. Truong Minh Nghia told Tuoi Tre Online : "Nghia has 15 years of experience in fashion design. As for putting fashion into paintings, Nghia started 4 years ago and is pursuing it. Nghia wants to apply fashion to paintings so that viewers can feel the color of thread is as beautiful as oil paint." He confessed that hand embroidery takes a lot of time and requires perseverance and creative ideas to create a unique highlight.

Exhibition lasts until Lunar New Year

Painter Nguyen Thi Tam - former lecturer at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Fine Arts - said that the club usually organizes exhibitions 1-2 times a year, to introduce the year-end program to welcome the new spring. Currently, the club has about 40 members, the youngest member is 8 years old, and the oldest member is 89 years old.

"The club consists of professional and non-professional artists, from many professions such as doctors, lawyers, teachers, housewives, etc. The club regularly organizes field trips. Each trip lasts from 5 to 10 days, often going to typical regions across the country to create and introduce the beautiful landscapes of the homeland across the country" - artist Nguyen Thi Tam added. The exhibition Along the homeland road lasts until the Lunar New Year of At Ty 2025, at the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Association.
