Accordingly, the Hung Kings' Commemoration Festival is a cultural and religious event organized at the provincial level, aiming to educate the patriotic tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source", deeply grateful to the Hung Kings who built the country and the ancestors who fought bravely against foreign invaders to protect the country.

Thereby, introducing the quintessence of traditional culture of the nation such as: worship rituals, processions, folk arts, folk games, folk cuisine... contributing to preserving and promoting the national cultural identity.

At the same time, promote Au Lac Temple on the top of Phuong Hoang Mountain as one of the Hung Kings' memorial sites with a scale and architecture that quite comprehensively simulates the Hung King relic site in the ancestral land of Phu Tho.

The festival takes place with many activities, specifically: Competition on decorating offering trays, flower arrangement, and flower basket decoration for King Hung; Announcement ceremony; ritual of carrying offerings; traditional sacrifice ceremony and offering incense to the National Ancestors at the Upper Temple; Incense offering ceremony to Mother Au Co - Father Lac Long Quan at the Middle Temple and the Lower Temple.

The festival includes many activities such as: Folk art performances, folk songs of 3 regions, amateur music performances; folk games, climbing greasy poles, blindfolded pot smashing, rice cooking competition, blindfolded duck catching, chess competition; culinary culture space, performance and sale of traditional dishes; Vietnamese tea art space; calligraphy space and folk painting exhibition.

Activities will be coordinated and organized solemnly and thoughtfully so that the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day becomes a spiritual and cultural activity of the whole community, affirming that this is an important national holiday of the people of Lam Dong ethnic groups.
