145 candidates participated in the SKA Korean Proficiency Test

Candidates are confident and ready to take the exam.

On the afternoon of March 29, at Dalat University, King Sejong Institute Dalat organized the 8th Sejong Korean Proficiency Test (SKA) in 2025 for 145 candidates who are 3rd and 4th year students of Dalat University, Yersin University, Oriental Studies Department and students of King Sejong Institute Dalat. The 8th exam in 2025 of King Sejong Institute took place at 22 branches worldwide. The exam consists of 4 parts: Listening (50 minutes), Reading (50 minutes), Writing (50 minutes) and Speaking (each candidate takes 20 minutes).

SKA is a tool to assess learners' Korean communication skills in a phased assessment format. This is the first Korean language assessment method to apply this assessment method, providing questions appropriate to the level of the candidate. SKA comprehensively assesses all skills of the candidate with 4 skills: Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking. Accordingly, the application of automatic scoring technology using artificial intelligence aims to evaluate effectively and with high accuracy. SKA is held three times in 2025 in March, June, and September. Candidates can register for the exam online or in person. SKA certification can be recognized as graduation scores, admission criteria at Korean universities such as Yonsei, Korea, or for job applications and scholarships.

King Sejong Institute Dalat was established in 2021, specializing in training Korean language and culture according to the training program standards of the King Sejong Institute Foundation under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Korea. Along with that, create a favorable environment for students at Da Lat University to learn and practice Korean language and culture, contributing to improving the training quality of Da Lat University. The twinning relationship between Da Lat city and Chuncheon city, Gangwon province of Korea, now in its 6th year, has effectively promoted cooperation in many fields. According to information from the leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province, in 2024, the number of Korean visitors to Lam Dong-Da Lat province will be 380,000, accounting for about 63% of international visitors.
