The festival has the unique features of the festivals at communal houses and temples in the South, bringing profound humanistic values, helping people move towards the values of truth - goodness - beauty.

Every year, the festival is held on the 14th and 15th of the second lunar month with many solemn rituals.

The ceremony began with the procession of the Buddha statue from Serey Kro Sang Pagoda to the ceremony area. In the procession, the convoys, the Sadama team, and the five-tone orchestra created a bustling, vibrant atmosphere, expressing the cultural identity of the Khmer people. When the Buddha statue was brought to the front of the ceremony area, the monks and Buddhists performed the Buddha flag salute ceremony.

On the second night of the festival, the Buddha installation ceremony takes place and ends with folk entertainment activities such as pushing the stick, tug of war, and art competitions...

During the festival, in the ceremony house, every night monks and Buddhists hold a prayer ceremony for peace and salvation with the meaning of praying for national peace and prosperity, favorable weather, and bountiful crops...

Chroi Rum Chek Festival is a treasure trove of intangible cultural heritage reflecting the customs, practices, beliefs... of the Khmer community.

Today, this festival still retains its own unique cultural characteristics and is also a festival for both Kinh and Hoa ethnic groups and the community living in the same locality to participate.
