A 45-seat passenger bus with license plate 43F-003.97 carrying 25 passengers was traveling from Da Lat to Nha Trang when it suddenly overturned on the side of the road.

Mr. Pham Ngoc Huu, Chairman of the People's Committee of Son Thai Commune, Khanh Vinh District, informed that the initial cause was determined to be that the passenger bus could not control its speed when traveling through a steep mountain pass with a dangerous left turn when traveling on Khanh Le Pass. The accident caused the passengers on the bus to panic and try to escape from the bus.

The accident left 6 people seriously injured and they were taken to Khanh Hoa General Hospital and Khanh Vinh District Medical Center for emergency treatment. The passenger bus was severely damaged, in addition, 3m of steel mesh fence on the side of the road was also damaged. The accident also affected traffic, slowing down vehicles.

The road section where the accident occurred is managed by Road Management Zone III (QLDBIII Zone). At the scene, the traffic safety system was recorded as complete. The weather was cloudy and foggy, the road surface was flat and had 2 lanes. The road section was outside the residential area and had no median strip.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
