Establishment of Council for Appraisal of Adjustment of District-level Land Use Planning

Accordingly, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thien Van is Chairman of the Council, and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Council is Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment Nguyen Minh Huan.

The Council consists of 21 members, responsible for assisting the Provincial People's Committee in reviewing, evaluating and appraising the Adjustment of Land Use Planning for the period 2021 - 2030 at the district level according to the provisions of Clause 2, Article 71 of the 2024 Land Law.

If necessary, the Chairman of the Council shall decide to organize field inspections and surveys of areas where land use purposes are expected to be changed, especially the change of land use purposes for rice cultivation, protective forest land, and special-use forest land.

The adjustment of the land use planning for the period 2021-2030 at the district level aims to suit the actual situation and needs, improve the effectiveness of land management and use to serve socio-economic development, and ensure national defense and security.

The Government is also developing a plan to adjust the National Land Use Plan for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050, including calculating the transitional period for using land use plans and planning when there is no district-level organization as well as the responsibilities, authority and tasks of provincial and communal authorities; mechanisms and principles for adjusting land use targets in case localities complete mergers.
