The BTS station will be built on a hilltop in Luong Son commune, Bao Yen district, Lao Cai province, 800m from the Lang Nu resettlement area and 2km from the rescue area.
VNPT representative said that they are determined to complete the project as soon as possible, helping people in the area to quickly connect, easily communicate and use modern telecommunications services.
At the same time, it maximizes the communication line of the rescue team, making an important contribution to the recovery and emergency support work.
Previously, Viettel network said it had restored the mobile network quality as before the storm for the government, the army, hundreds of thousands of islanders and fishermen at sea in island districts and communes of Quang Ninh and Hai Phong affected by storm No. 3.
By connecting microwave lines - temporary radio transmission lines to replace cables and establishing communication systems, Viettel is the first network operator to restore high-quality, stable mobile waves across the entire island commune and district affected by storm No. 3.

Restoring communication in Bach Long Vi island district, Hai Phong, is especially important because this is an outpost island with a strategic position in national defense and security.
Previously, Viettel technical teams in Van Don district, Quang Ninh also set up a communication system connecting 5 island communes (Ban Sen, Ngoc Vung, Thang Loi, Quan Lan, Minh Chau) to restore emergency communication for local authorities from September 16, in the absence of electricity.
“Thanks to Viettel's support in restoring information connections, not only the mainland network system but also the information connection between island communes and the People's Committee of Van Don district was promptly restored, ensuring smooth communication and providing good support for the direction and management of storm recovery.
This contributes significantly to stabilizing the situation, minimizing damage, and protecting the safety of local people and property," said the vice chairman of the People's Committee of Van Don district, Quang Ninh province.
Up to now, Viettel has completely restored the network in the provinces affected by storm No. 3.
