Currently, in the province, Chau Thinh Phong Cooperative and Hoa Loi Cooperative have invested in machinery, equipment, and factories to produce chili sauce to sell fresh chili to the people. Chili sauce products of the cooperatives are mainly consumed in the Hanoi market and other provinces and cities across the country. In addition to traditional consumption channels, cooperatives also set up booths on e-commerce platforms. In addition, there are many private establishments that purchase chili from the people to produce chili sauce to serve the needs of the province.
In 2025, Lao Cai will continue to maintain the operation of existing chili processing facilities, while promoting the attraction of businesses with sufficient capacity to link up in sustainable production, processing, and consumption of chili in Muong Khuong, Bac Ha, and Si Ma Cai districts.
In addition, promote trade promotion, expand markets, and establish links between chili processing enterprises and cooperatives with farmers to ensure stability and sufficient raw materials for processing.
