With the attention and support of the Central Government, the strong leadership and direction of the city's leaders, and the participation of the entire political system, the city has achieved important and positive results. The city's GRDP in the first quarter of 2025 is estimated to increase by 11.36%, of which: the service sector increased by 10.07%; the industrial and construction sector increased by 17.6%; the agricultural, forestry and fishery sector increased by 2.61% and product taxes minus product subsidies increased by 10.82%, this is the highest increase in the past 5 years.
Da Nang's GRDP growth rate ranked 4th out of 63 provinces and centrally run cities. The city's economic scale in the first quarter at current prices is estimated at more than VND 38,935 billion, an expansion of VND 5,213 billion compared to the same period in 2024.
Tourism activities continue to develop strongly, activities and events are continuously organized, contributing to creating a vibrant, fresh atmosphere attracting a large number of domestic and international tourists to Da Nang.
In particular, the city successfully organized a series of events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Da Nang City with exciting and attractive activities such as the Exhibition "Da Nang - 50 years of development and integration"; a special art program and fireworks display to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Da Nang.
Da Nang tourism is showing its increasing appeal to international tourists. In the first 3 months of 2025, the total number of visitors served by accommodation establishments is estimated at more than 2,537.8 million, an increase of 19.2% over the same period in 2024.
Of which, international visitors reached 1,268.3 million, up 42.1%; domestic visitors reached 1,269.5 million, up 2.7%. Revenue from accommodation and catering services is estimated at VND 7,393 billion, up 21.1% over the same period in 2024; revenue from tourism services (after deducting expenses) in the first 3 months of 2025 is estimated at VND 839 billion, up 20%.
The city attracted VND14,655.1 billion in domestic investment capital and USD33.93 million in FDI capital. Of which, attracting investment outside industrial parks, high-tech parks, and information technology parks reached VND8,240.5 billion in domestic capital and USD1.7 million in FDI capital.
The city has newly granted business registration certificates to 1,004 enterprises, branches and representative offices, with a total registered charter capital of VND 3,019.9 billion; a decrease of 2.9% in the number of enterprises and a decrease of 10.2% in capital compared to the same period in 2024.
The city has allocated 100% of the 2025 public investment capital plan assigned by the Prime Minister under Decision No. 1508/QD-TTg dated December 4, 2024 (VND 8,720,597 billion) and assigned by the City People's Council in Resolution No. 83/NQ-HDND (VND 8,744,395 billion).
As of March 31, the disbursement of the public investment capital plan according to the assigned budget for 2025 reached VND963,659 billion, equal to 11.1% of the plan assigned by the Prime Minister and 11.02% of the plan assigned by the City People's Council, of which the disbursed capital for basic construction was VND783,659 billion and the disbursed entrusted capital was VND180 billion.
In the first quarter of 2025, the city organized the inauguration and groundbreaking of projects to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Da Nang City, including: Quang Da Bridge and the bridge approach road; Software Park No. 2 (phase 1); renovation and upgrading of 42 Bach Dang facility to build Da Nang Museum, projects to upgrade, renovate and repair historical and cultural relics, relics, and works to register martyrs; renovation and upgrading of Hoang Du Khuong Primary School; groundbreaking of projects to upgrade and renovate 29/3 Park; renovation of drainage systems and undergrounding of information cables and lighting on 4 inner-city roads (Phan Chau Trinh, Le Loi, Hoang Dieu and Ong Ich Khiem); upgrading and renovating the Ngu Hanh Son District Medical Center, the drainage canal from the Hoa Nhon resettlement area to Tuy Loan River...
