Because this is a pilot training major, built by Hanoi National University, there is no official enrollment code in the list of major codes issued by the Ministry of Education and Training. According to the proposal of Hanoi National University, the major code for biopharmaceuticals is 7429001QTD.
According to Hanoi National University, the project to open a biopharmaceutical training major comes from the reality of social needs for human resources capable of basic research and performing analytical techniques in the field of biopharmaceuticals, in order to develop new medicinal resources, pharmaceuticals and public health care products; have the capacity for scientific research, and have the ability to access and apply advanced scientific achievements in professional practice. The opening of the major also comes from the training capacity, development strategy and vision of the Faculty of Biology, University of Natural Sciences, Hanoi National University.
Admission to this major will be based on the results of the high school graduation exam according to the following combinations: A00 (math, physics, chemistry), A02 (math, physics, biology), B00 (math, chemistry, biology), B08 (math, biology, English).
In addition, the University of Natural Sciences will use other methods according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and Hanoi National University. The first year of enrollment is expected to enroll 50 students.
According to Hanoi National University, biopharmaceuticals is an interdisciplinary training program, requiring not only the combination of monodisciplinary knowledge of biology and pharmacy, but also 20 other integrated courses.
Graduates of biopharmaceuticals will have the necessary expertise and skills to research biopharmaceuticals and related fields in roles such as: biopharmaceutical analyst, biopharmaceutical researcher, staff of the research and development department of biopharmaceuticals, consultants, technical support staff using equipment and production systems in the field of biopharmaceuticals, participating in the drug research and development process, participating in consulting, design, training, and development of health care products at research institutes, centers, companies and research agencies of ministries, branches, and universities.
