The event aimed to evaluate the great achievements of veteran writers over the past 50 years. The conference also honored generations of writers who spent their lives following the Party on the path to independence, freedom, national unification, and building a strong Vietnam, as well as an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity.
The conference continued to affirm the Party's cultural and artistic path in each historical period of the country, thereby establishing the path to the future of writers and the young generation in the new era.
During the conference, the Vietnam Writers Association will organize a poetry and music night called "Echoes of Autumn" to build a part of the poetic life with the cause of fighting for national liberation, building the Fatherland and reviving culture.
In addition, the conference also organized a lively and attractive exhibition space displaying images and careers of writers who sacrificed their lives in the two great resistance wars of the nation, and writers who were awarded the Ho Chi Minh Prize for literature and art.
The organizers expect about 300 writers to attend the conference. Here, the Vietnam Writers Association will honor three writers who have made important contributions to revolutionary literature and promoted the development of the Vietnam Writers Association, including writer Ma Van Khang, poet Nguyen Khoa Diem and poet Huu Thinh.
