Lam Dong disciplines 21 party members for violations in 2023

On January 7, the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission said that in 2023, the whole province had 12 Party organizations and 29 Party members violating, of which 5 Party organizations and 21 Party members violated to the extent that disciplinary action had to be taken.

Accordingly, in 2023, Party committees, Party organizations and Inspection Committees at all levels conducted 1,927 inspections of Party organizations and 6,803 Party members; supervised 838 Party organizations and 1,969 Party members; the entire Party Committee disciplined 7 Party organizations and 237 Party members. On the other hand, through handling complaints, Lam Dong disciplined 3 cases; resolved 27 Party members according to accusations.

The inspection showed that all four party members had shortcomings and violations. The Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee expelled one party member and disciplined two others; and proposed that the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee expel one party member.

The family of Mr. Tran Van Hiep, Chairman of Lam Dong, has paid 4.2 billion to remedy the consequences.

Specifically, the Standing Committee of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee has taken disciplinary action by expelling Mr. Nguyen Quoc Bac, former Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and former Chairman of the People's Committee of Bao Loc City. Mr. Bac committed many violations in allocating resettlement land and residential land without auction, and was prosecuted by Lam Dong Provincial Police for investigation of the crime of lack of responsibility causing serious consequences.

In 2023, the Secretariat decided to expel Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Anh, Chief Inspector of Lam Dong province, from the Party for violating Party regulations and State laws.

Previously, in March 2023, Mr. Anh was prosecuted and temporarily detained by the Ministry of Public Security to investigate bribery related to the Saigon - Dai Ninh project (Duc Trong district).
