Lam Dong reduces water bills for businesses

On November 29, Mr. Vo Ngoc Hiep - Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee signed a decision approving the plan to reduce water usage fees in Lam Dong province to support businesses to adapt, recover quickly, develop sustainably, and improve competitiveness.

The decision ensures the correct implementation of the spirit of Resolution No. 58/NQ-CP of the Government on a number of key policies and solutions to support businesses to be proactive, adaptive, recover quickly and develop sustainably until 2025; In line with the balancing capacity of local budgets. Support for reducing water usage fees must ensure publicity, transparency and compliance with legal regulations.

The supported subjects are enterprises established under the provisions of the Enterprise Law and operating stably in Lam Dong province.

20% reduction in pre-tax water usage fee for 6 months, from December 2023 to the end of May 2024.

The State supports the reduction of pre-tax water usage fees for enterprises through water suppliers. Water suppliers implement water usage fee reduction for enterprises based on actual invoices; are responsible for preparing a final report on the amount of funds for implementing water usage fee reduction for enterprises, sending it to the Department of Finance for synthesis, reporting to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and approval.
