Conference on aviation and tourism services during the April 30 and May 1 holidays in Nha Trang

On the afternoon of April 18, in Nha Trang City, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (Ministry of Construction) coordinated with the Vietnam National Tourism Administration (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) to organize a conference on aviation and tourism services during the April 30 and May 1 holidays. Mr. Uong Viet Dung - Director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam; Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh - Director of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration co-chaired the conference. Attending the conference were Mr. Dinh Van Thieu - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of Vietnam Airports Corporation, Vietnam Airlines Corporation, departments and branches of Khanh Hoa province, representatives of Vietnamese and international airlines, and travel businesses in the province.

According to the leader of Cam Ranh International Airport, during the upcoming holiday (from April 29 to May 5), Cam Ranh International Airport is expected to serve 885 take-offs and landings (an average of 126 flights/day, an increase of 3% compared to the same period in 2024), including 526 international flights and 360 domestic flights. For the 2025 summer flight schedule, Cam Ranh International Airport will increase by about 30% compared to the same period in 2024; of which, international flights will increase by about 20%; domestic flights will increase by 10%... Cam Ranh International Airport is capable of serving the above number of flights.

At the conference, representatives of airlines recommended: Cam Ranh International Airport should add more business class lounges, soon expand the domestic terminal; have close coordination between aviation and tourism in promoting and expanding flight routes, attracting tourists; research and develop more products to serve tourists; build a tourist data sharing system so that the aviation industry can have appropriate coordination plans; increase promotion of Khanh Hoa province's tourist destinations on flights; have support policies for airlines when opening new routes to Khanh Hoa...

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Van Thieu said that the tourism sector of Khanh Hoa province has prepared well for the April 30 and May 1 holidays, as well as the peak summer tourist season. The province's tourism products are diverse, rich, and of high quality, meeting the needs of domestic and foreign tourists... Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Van Thieu requested airlines to increase the frequency of existing flights; open more international and domestic flights to Khanh Hoa, including opening flights from India and Australia to Khanh Hoa; reduce ground service prices at Cam Ranh International Airport; shorten check-in time for air passengers... At the same time, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism was assigned to coordinate with the Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association to develop more special products to serve tourists.
