Vietnam canoe team ready to compete in 4 final events today

After missing out on a medal yesterday, the Vietnamese rowers are determined to win a medal today. Except for the superior host China, the Vietnamese team is strong enough to compete with the remaining opponents.

At 2:00 p.m. on the same day, the Vietnamese Sepak Takraw girls will compete in the semi-finals against Laos or host China. This is the event in which the Vietnamese Sepak Takraw team won the world championship for two consecutive years in 2022 and 2023, so they are expected to win the gold medal at the 19th ASIAD.

Nguyen Thuy Linh competes in badminton

In badminton, Vietnam's No. 1 player Nguyen Thuy Linh will compete in the women's singles at 11:40 a.m., facing Mahoor Shahzad (Pakistan). Vu Thi Anh Thu will also play her first women's singles match against Malaysian player Goh Jin Wei. Nguyen Hai Dang will play against Vitidsarn Kunlavut (Thailand) in the men's singles.

Lai Ly Huynh competes in individual event

In the chess event starting at 1 p.m., Lai Ly Huynh and Nguyen Thanh Bao competed in the first round of the men's individual event. Nguyen Hoang Yen and Nguyen Thi Phi Liem competed in the women's individual event.

In athletics, Nguyen Thi Thu Ha competed in the women's 800m qualifying round at 8:10. In cycling, Nguyen Thi Thu Mai competed in the women's individual time trial final at 8:00, and Quang Van Cuong competed in the men's individual time trial at 1:00 p.m.
