The constant movement of art has urged him to always seek new directions. Recently, his works have shown a strong shift towards contemporary language. Although still using familiar lacquer materials such as eggshells, red lipstick, black, gold and silver, the way of expression has taken on a new look.

"Friends" tell life stories through pictures

The works of artist Ho Van Hung show a deep absorption of the Khmer art heritage of the South. The delicate and graceful decorative motifs, reminiscent of the stone reliefs on ancient Khmer temples, seem to have penetrated deeply into the subconscious and become a part of the characteristic visual language in his paintings. The images of the powerful and powerful dances of the God of Destruction Shiva from the Angkor relics of the once-glorious culture are constantly appearing, bringing a source of spiritual energy and mystery to the work. Each work is a story about the origin, about sustainable cultural values, expressed through the passionate and enthusiastic personal artistic lens of a son of Soc Trang.

Ho Van Hung's paintings are a recreation, a creative interpretation of Khmer cultural imprints that have been deeply imprinted in the history and spiritual life of the Southern region.

Each work by Ly Cao Tan - a panoramic picture of life, invites viewers to immerse themselves in every smallest detail.

With artist Ly Cao Tan, he has created a unique artistic world on large-scale iron pen graphic paintings, where sophisticated, elaborate and meticulous iron pen strokes become the main language. He is like a diligent recorder, preserving in a realistic and vivid way the images and daily activities of the Mekong Delta region.

Artist Nguyen Tien Len is a living testament to the spirit of constantly learning and renewing himself. Artist Nguyen Tien Len's life is a diverse journey, from knowledge of 2D and 3D graphics, gallery business, design, to the stumbles and experiences of the business world and competitive urban life. All of these have forged a strong, steadfast and courageous Nguyen Tien Len.

Meanwhile, the interesting thing in Phan Thai Hoang's paintings is the diverse variation of the subject, from the typical mangrove fields of Ca Mau land, he has transformed them into images that are both familiar and highly symbolic. Not stopping there, he also reaches out to abstract discoveries, where physical forms disappear, giving way to emotions and ideas that are expressed freely and liberally.

The exhibition of painter Nguyen Van Minh - Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Fine Arts and Friends takes place from April 12 to April 22.
