For the first time, Ho Chi Minh City National University Dormitory has a policy of exempting, reducing fees, and providing meal vouchers for disadvantaged students.
Mr. Lai The Tuan, Head of the Dormitory Department of Ho Chi Minh City National University, said on July 28 that in the 2023-2024 school year, the dormitory will spend two billion VND from revenue and call for support from organizations and businesses to implement the Student Activities Support Fund.
This fund will help exempt or reduce boarding fees, award scholarships, and provide soft skills training for students.
Accordingly, disabled students are exempted from dormitory fees. Orphans, students with serious illnesses, and students from poor, near-poor or disadvantaged households receive a 50% discount.

In addition, from this school year, the dormitory will organize a "Sharing Kitchen" to distribute free meal coupons to students in difficult circumstances.
In the 2023-2024 school year, the Ho Chi Minh City National University Dormitory is expected to receive about 36,500 students. Boarding fees range from VND180,000 - 1,250,000 per month, depending on the type of room. Second-year students and above will start registering from August 1 to 10. New students will start registering when the admission schedule is available.
The Ho Chi Minh City National University Dormitory is located on the border between Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong, covering an area of about 42 hectares with 47 buildings. This is the largest dormitory in Vietnam today, providing accommodation for students of Ho Chi Minh City National University and affiliated schools.
