Celebrating 50 years since the first broadcast of Da Nang Radio and Television Station

On the morning of March 31, Da Nang Radio and Television Station solemnly held the 50th Anniversary of the first broadcast (March 31, 1975 - March 31, 2025), marking a half-century journey accompanying the development of Da Nang city and the Central region. Attending the ceremony were member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Da Nang city Nguyen Van Quang, former Standing Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee Phan Nhu Lam, former Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Vo Cong Tri, Chairman of the City People's Council Ngo Xuan Thang, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee Le Quang Nam. Also attending the ceremony were generations of leaders, reporters, editors, technicians, and staff of the Station through the periods.

Speaking at the ceremony, Director of Da Nang Radio and Television Station Doan Xuan Hieu affirmed that after half a century of construction, dedication and growth, regardless of its name or scope of operation, the station's waves are still steadfast, flying high, reaching far, bringing the vibrant "City Life" to every corner of Da Nang and spreading to all parts of the country. The predecessor of Da Nang Radio and Television Station was Da Nang Radio Station, followed by Quang Nam - Da Nang Radio Station. The first program of the Station officially aired at 11:00 a.m. on March 31, 1975 - 48 hours after Da Nang was liberated, opening the mission of information, propaganda and service to the people. Over 50 years of construction and development, DaNangTV has been honored to receive many noble awards from the Party and the State, such as the Rotating Flag of the Council of Ministers, the First, Second and Third Class Labor Medals of the President, affirming its important role in the field of local media. Currently, DaNangTV owns a diverse media system, including: 2 24/7 TV channels (DaNangTV1 and DaNangTV2), 2 radio channels, 1 Website and many channels on digital platforms, meeting the increasingly rich and diverse information needs of audiences and listeners.

Speaking at the ceremony, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang acknowledged and highly appreciated generations of leaders, reporters, editors, technicians and all those who have laid the foundation, built and developed Da Nang Radio and Television Station over the past 50 years.

Regarding the direction and orientation in the coming time, the Secretary of the City Party Committee emphasized that in the process of arranging and merging with the city's press and radio agencies in the spirit of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW, Da Nang Newspaper and Radio - Television Station need to continue to unite, pioneer and be proactive in arranging the organizational apparatus; aiming to become the main mouthpiece of the City Party Committee and Government, a solid bridge between the Party, the Government and the people.

On this occasion, Da Nang Radio and Television Station was honored to receive a Banner with the words: "Innovation, professionalism, development" from the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City, recognizing the efforts and achievements of the Station over the past 50 years. At the same time, the City People's Committee also awarded a Certificate of Merit to honor DaNangTV's outstanding contributions in communications and community service./.
