On the afternoon of October 9, the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of Tien Hai district solemnly organized a ceremony to celebrate the 195th anniversary of the district's founding (1828 - 2023). The great achievements of the land reclamation in Tien Hai in 1828, led by Doanh Dien Su Nguyen Cong Tru, were considered a leap forward in the history of land reclamation in Vietnam, providing invaluable lessons for the Party and State's direction and organization of land reclamation in the future; a rich treasure trove of experience in river digging techniques, dike building, land improvement, and construction of village residential areas, especially useful for the process of continuing to build dikes to reclaim land from the sea by the people of Tien Hai today. Through the wars of national liberation and defense, Tien Hai district has made great contributions in terms of manpower and resources with more than 22,000 people joining the army, including 4,928 martyrs, 618 heroic Vietnamese mothers, 2,500 wounded and sick soldiers, 2,200 resistance fighters infected with toxic chemicals, 427 revolutionary veterans, 66 families with meritorious services to the country... The people and armed forces of Tien Hai were awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces by the State. Tien Hai district was honored to welcome Uncle Ho to visit in 1962. Those are invaluable assets of the Party Committee, government and people of Tien Hai.

Promoting the heroic tradition of the homeland, Tien Hai today is constantly innovating, integrating and developing. The average growth rate in the 3 years (2021 - 2023) is estimated at 11.01% (2010 comparative price). The average income per capita in 2023 is estimated at 63.5 million VND. The construction of new rural areas has achieved positive results, the district was recognized by the Prime Minister as meeting new rural standards in 2019. By October 2023, the whole district has 5 communes meeting advanced new rural standards...

In particular, it is necessary to thoroughly grasp and well implement the 5 key tasks, 3 breakthroughs in the Resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress associated with the potential and strengths of the district, focusing on building and developing Thai Binh Economic Zone. Promote the development of connecting transport infrastructure, especially together with the province determined to soon complete and put into use the coastal road. Focus on site clearance to attract investment in industrial parks and clusters. Pay due attention to the development of agriculture, farmers, rural areas, the program of building advanced new rural areas, model new rural areas in the direction of civilization, modernity associated with urbanization but still having to preserve the unique traditional cultural identity of coastal areas. Continue to improve the quality of the fields of culture, education and training; protect and care for people's health; take good care of policy families, people with meritorious services to the revolution, and properly resolve social security issues. Organize comprehensive and effective implementation of local defense and military tasks. Focus on building a clean, strong, united and unified Party organization and political system, creating a comprehensive strength to lead and direct the successful implementation of the set goals and tasks.
